Kirk Moberg, MD, PhD

Dr. Kirk Moberg, MD, PhD is the Medical Director for the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery. He was most recently the Executive Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer for Carle Hospital and Physician Group in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Moberg has practiced addiction medicine for 20 years and concurrently served as medical director of two addiction recovery centers from 2000 to 2010 in Urbana-Champaign.

Board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, he received his MS in Health Policy and Administration, and a PhD in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign.
